Transparancy, delicacy and small lots: Bitterzoet Coffee Roasters is founded on the principles of bringing an ode to the the farmers work and thriving to create the best cup possible. So on we can aim for perfection in our roast and brews and help expanding the love for coffee even more amidst coffee enthousiasts and specialty coffee bars and shops.
The design of Bitterzoet Coffee Roasters is inspired by Solanum dulcamara, the bitterzoet flower. This plant typically blooms in late summer in the Dutch climate. After flowering, it produces a red to pink berry. Similarly, coffee plants also bear fruit after flowering — starting as green cherries that ripen to red.
Thanks to Joosje Bosch, Bitterzoet Coffee Roasters has found a beautiful way to tell this story through design.
We roast in the centre of The Hague. At Bitterzoet Coffee Roasters we focus on the quality of the green beans as well as the quality of the roast.
